2. Quotations
All quotations are provided free of charge and remain valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Quotations are fixed-price unless the scope of work changes. Any variations will be agreed in writing before additional costs are incurred.
3. Payment Terms
Payment schedules are agreed before work commences and detailed in our written quotation. We do not require full payment upfront. Stage payments are invoiced as work progresses, with final payment due upon satisfactory completion.
4. Guarantees
Structural work is covered by our 10-year guarantee. Finishing work (plastering, joinery, decoration) is guaranteed for 2 years. Electrical work is certified by NICEIC-registered electricians. Gas installations are completed by Gas Safe registered engineers. Guarantee terms are provided in writing upon project completion.
5. Insurance
We carry £10M public liability insurance, employer's liability insurance, and professional indemnity insurance. Certificates are available on request prior to work commencing.
6. Planning & Building Regulations
Where our quotation includes planning applications and building regulations submissions, we will manage these on your behalf. Approval timelines are controlled by the relevant authority and are outside our control. We do not commence work until all necessary approvals are in place.
7. Variations
Any changes to the agreed scope of work must be confirmed in writing. We will provide a revised quotation for variations before proceeding. Verbal instructions for changes will be confirmed in writing to avoid disputes.
8. Cancellation
You may cancel an agreed project with 14 days' written notice before the start date without penalty. After work has commenced, cancellation terms will be discussed and agreed based on work completed and materials ordered.
9. Dispute Resolution
In the event of a dispute, we will first attempt to resolve the matter directly. If resolution is not possible, disputes may be referred to the Federation of Master Builders dispute resolution service. These terms are governed by English law.
